Ken Kremsky: Effective Cost Reduction is only possible with proper analyzing
Cost reduction is a difficult
task for sure. The organizations also need the assurance for the stability. To
be very frank, this is rare; something very rare. Barely one out of a hundred
test cases could prove be successful. In other words, the attempts for reducing
the costs successfully, often fails. Ken Kremsky however proves out to be an
exception, and he openly says about the ways he succeeded.
Work Experience
Ken Kremsky is into
financing and cost management, for more than two decades now. He started his
career as the Assistant Controller. Here, Ken kept a good eye on the packaging
materials and the processes involved. He was quick to analyze the errors in the
processes and the ways to overcome them. He also kept a good eye on the
repetitions in the processes and the ways to effectively skip them.
He later worked with Kraft Food.
Working for the production and the packaging units, Ken found out ways to help
the organization save around 15% of the costs. He was quick to notice the least
priority materials in the use and the risk involved at degrading their quality.
He calculated the effects of introducing changes in the unit and the adjacent
units. In all, he was supposed to calculate the overall impact of bringing out
the small changes.
Professional Certification
Ken Kremsky is a Black
Belt holder in Lean Six Sigma Certification. This certification honed his
skills at understanding the errors and the best ways to bring out changes, with
the lowest possible risks. The certification helps him understand the
repetition and thus helps him skip the redundant steps. The skipping of steps
helps the organization saving excess investments and resources; thus reducing
the production charges. It is now understandable that by reducing the costs,
and still maintaining the same selling price at the end, the organization
manages to gain bigger numbers.
The Lean Six Sigma Certification
classifies the participants based upon the skills they acquire. The Black Belt
is offered to the participants who belong to the higher management of the
organization, that is, for positions like the Manager and higher. This
certification has helped Ken Kremsky to recognize and eliminate the errors in
the processes. Additionally, he has honed his skills at managing teams and
getting the work done. We now see all the reasons how Ken has been saving 75
million US Dollars, every year, for his organization.
