What is strategic financial management?

Strategic financial management is the type of planning of the usage of a company's financial resources to attain its objectives and return maximum value to company profit. It is working for the company’s business objectives or goals and identifying company potential, resources and constructs a plan for utilizing finances and other capital resources to achieve its goals. 

Ken is a strategic Finance executive with more than 2 decades of experience in the corporate and field manufacturing experience. He focused on helping organizations to reduce its costs and achieve greater productivity. He has been steadily engaged in various roles for 18 years throughout several mergers and acquisitions at Mondelez / Kraft / Nabisco.

  •  Developed detailed Direct Labor standards which resulted in crewing reductions and cost savings of $400k annually at Nabisco
  •  In Nabisco he Participated on both the Oreo and Premium network teams led to savings of $3mm annually, mainly through the 'One Cookie Out' initiative and the Premium oil reduction project
  •  He provided financial analysis for the Kraft Austerity team with the goal of reducing raw and packaging material losses by 5%, and reducing fixed expenses by 15% which was achieved.
  • With extensive training in Lean Six Sigma costing and financial analysis. Projects generated loss allowance savings of $700k at Kraft
  •  He focuses on reviewing the raw, package, and finished goods supply chain in North and Latin America, pursuing the optimal logistical and financial strategy at Mondelez International.
  •  He developed multiple IRR analytical tools which became the model for all company project at Mondelez International


Talking about his professional experience, Ken Kremsky started his career as an assistant controller at Interstate Brands Corporation from 1996-1999. In 1999 he started serving as manager of cost accounting at Kraft Nabisco Inc where he worked until 2005. Later he started working as controller at Kraft Food Inc in 2005. From 2012, Ken worked as a Senior Manager of Finance and Strategic Projects at Mondelez International. Here, he worked until 2017. Currently he is working at consultant for a private equity firm.  

Pertaining to his educational credential, Ken Kremsky pursued Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University. In addition to it, he completed Master of Business Administration in Finance from LaSalle University.
